Class of 2026–27
Since 1989, nearly 700 people from across Douglas County have come through this program. They run departments and businesses, sit on boards, and show up for their communities in a hundred quieter ways. Almost all of them applied while wondering whether the timing was right.

Applicant Commitment

I will take part in the class community service project, and I will attend two local public meetings during the program year — City Council, County Commissioners, a school board, or a planning commission.

I have reviewed the 2026–27 schedule and checked all nine dates against my calendar. I will attend at least 6 of the 8 sessions, plus graduation on June 7, 2027. Attendance is taken each morning and afternoon.

I understand this program asks me to participate rather than observe, and that what is shared candidly in the room stays in the room.

I understand tuition is invoiced upon acceptance and due before the first session, and that it is not refunded if the participant withdraws or does not meet the attendance requirement.
